Neighborhood Management

Overview

Neighborhood management is a term used to describe increasing capacity of a neighborhood to manage and solve local concerns. Organizing a block group or neighborhood group may be helpful. If you look at the continuum to the right, where do you and your neighbors land?

Neighborhood Council

One Joplin facilitates a quarterly meeting or council of neighbors from several neighborhoods. This forum is a place to discuss common concerns, share information, and develop resourceful relationships.

Neighborhood Summit

Our Neighborhood Summit is a chance for neighborhood leaders to connect, collaborate, and learn about how to build vibrant neighborhoods. Each year, we learn about what's happening in each other's neighborhoods, share and problem-solve common issues facing multiple neighborhoods, and learn about best practices for neighborhood development.
